It is interesting, a lot of my most wealthy clients actually spend the same amount of money over all on their clothes than their less well off counter parts simply because they buy and re-sell well. What does this mean? It means that although they give off an extravagant air they are in actual fact extremely savvy about where and on what they spend their money.
For example the Sunday night asoslive discount email doesn’t tempt them, but The Outnet one does. They won’t buy a full price handbag in Harrods after a few lunchtime bubbles, but they will buy the same one at harrods in the airport one week later. They won’t go with a bunch of girlfriends to ralphlauren, Fulham but they will take them to Bicester Village on a 20% VIP Day Card. You can see the trend. The key is to only invest in quality brands (not blow £500 in Zara / Karen Millen etc.) as wearing only expensive labels creates an air of unrivalled style and unaffordable luxury. Even though secretly all these beautiful garments were very carefully bought. AND THE REAL KEY…can be re-sold for a very similar price to what was paid for them. You see if one is clever about what and where you buy, it is possible to wear exquisite labels time and time again without being out of pocket. In fact a lot of even my most high profile customers not only sell but buy from me too. They are the most savvy of all shoppers and we must learn from and admire the way they operate.
