The Top Autumn Trends 2021: Where to Shop and How to Wear Them

After countless lockdowns and what feels like a lifetime of loungewear, we are finally approaching the A/W fashion season. In-keeping with the turbulent, past 18-months we’ve all had, this season; designers are channelling comfy-chic across all areas.

From classic trenches and punchy puffers to bold prints layered over neutral knits – here are our top trends to look out for this Autumn, where to buy them and how to style them.

Burberry & Prada

Statement Coats

Burberry have given their statement trench a revamp this season, opting for neutral tones and subtle check detailing – topped with leather trim finishes. The latest addition of the iconic, outerwear staple also comes in a bomber jacket style, for a more casual look.

Changing the puffer game this season is Prada. Oversized fits are juxtaposed with shapely silhouettes – all made from the label’s signature re-nylon gabardine. The merging of signature styles with quilted textures, gives the whole collection a utilitarian feel, gearing us up for ski season.

Bottega Veneta - Prada

More is More

From bold accent colours to eccentric prints, this season – more is most definitely more. Bottega Veneta have opted for a distinct selection of accent colours, including lime green and fuchsia – both of which can be layered on top of neutral knits. Jacquard printing is also making an appearance this Autumn, with Prada showcasing the design in turtleneck sweaters; not to mention in their bold revision of the Cleo bag that we all know and love.

Brunello Cucinelli & Valentino

Cosy Knits

Despite moving out of lockdown and into “normal” life - comfort is still very much on all our minds, especially as we head into the chillier months. Brunello Cucinelli are leading the way with layering this season – the AW21 collection is made up of an abundance of mix-and-match pieces, all of which are available in a variety of Autumnal tones. The casual-yet-chic looks can be dressed up or down, taking you from day to night. Hermès and Valentino are also following suit, pairing cosy knit sweaters with classic midi skirts – a go-to-look which will keep you warm and on trend!

Preppy Vibes

Chanel has paired their signature “preppy” look with a statement combat boot this Autumn. Topped off with embellished finishes, the boot of the season gives off an edgy-meets-classic look, which has also been interpreted by Louis Vuitton in their classic monogram print. Platform loafers are the shoe counterpart to the chunky boot trend this season – the preppy footwear has been showcased by Prada, Balenciaga, and Simone Rocha – to name a few.
